Artist statement:

I am a textile designer specializing in embroidery and bead weaving. My work is inspired by the cultural motifs of South Waziristan, where I hail from. These motifs are delicately woven
into beads, showcasing the rich heritage of my region. The colors I use are derived from the traditional clothing and the way these colors are traditionally used in my community. Through my work, I aim to preserve and celebrate the artistic traditions of South Waziristan.

Biography:

Muhammad Wasif, hailing from FATA, South Waziristan, recently graduated from the National College of Arts, Lahore in 2022 as a textile designer.
