Nuqtay-e-nazar 4 - Sajid Ali

Artist Statement: In his artistic expression, Sajid Ali distinguishes his art
through the intricate use of wire mesh as a medium to create portraits. His
expertise reclines in proficiently manipulating wire mesh to convey depth and
nuance. The theme of his work ‘Window of Divine’ explores the interplay
between presence and absence through a figurative lattice or Jaali. The process
begins with conceptualizing the idea, followed by selecting and layering the mesh

to correspond with the varying tones in the portrait. The gradual layering creates
a dynamic interplay of light and shadow, resulting in a distinctive and visually
engaging finished piece. Sajid's work reflects this idea by presenting the
viewer with visual windows that convey the wonders of the universe and the
connection that human beings have with the divine.

Biography: Sajid Ali, a fine arts graduate from NCA, belongs to Kharmang Pari-Skardu.
He has participated in several group exhibitions, showcasing his works at Ejaz Art
Gallery, O-Art Space, Numaish Gah, and Anna Molka Gallery.
