Artist Statement:

The human body is a canvas of change, reflecting the profound transformations we undergo throughout life. These changes, both external and internal, are like brushstrokes on our skin, telling stories of growth, experiences, and connections. For me, the skin is a reminder of the sense of touch, a sacred and intimate connection with loved ones that transcends physical presence. Through my work, I seek to capture the essence of these connections and the beauty of transformation that defines the human experience.

Biography:

Fakhra Asif is a visual artist based in Lahore, Pakistan. She completed her masters in visual art
from the National College of Arts in 2022, following her graduation from Punjab University, College of
Arts and Design in 2017. Fakhira's artistic journey has been marked by exhibitions at prestigious galleries and art spaces including O Art Space, Koel Gallery, Gallery Full Circle, Arjumand Painting Award, and Canvas Gallery. Her work has also been showcased in Dubai and Norway.
