Eternity II - Maham Ajmal

Artist Statement:

My practice is mostly inspired by the spaces around me, including my home, my studio, or public places. I'm more interested in texture and body of paint. I mostly work with mixed media and love using raw, everyday materials like wall paint and wall putty, things that remind me of walls. I often paint things that we see or use every day but don't really think about much, things that are frequently overlooked. My color palette is full of bright and pastel colors.

Biography:

Maham Ajmal is a Lahore based painter, currently pursuing bachelors in fine arts from National College of Arts Lahore. Her work focuses on materiality and textures. She explores themes of space, memory and reality, drawing inspiration from spaces around her.
