Artist statement:

Although my art practice is about exploring imaginative freedom and expressing myself through Ascard, a character I have designed, I have always liked the diversity in what I create, by exploring different mediums. My work is rooted in my alter ego, which serves as a depiction of my inner feelings and self-reflection. "Conversations Within" was a thesis project that visualized challenging conversations playfully. "Unlikely" delves into the anger that arises from being treated differently based on faith and life choices. I took a literal approach to convey the question, "Why am I treated differently? I don't have horns over my head."

Biography:

Tatheer is a visual artist based in Lahore, Pakistan. She graduated from National College of Arts, Lahore, in 2023 with a BFA in painting.
