Artist Statement:

I focus on exploring themes of environment, memory, and social realities through printmaking and painting, often drawing inspiration from my mountainous surroundings and everyday life. Mostly my paintings are deeply inspired by the natural beauty of mountainous landscapes, blending vibrant, otherworldly colors with texture techniques like palette knife work. My printmaking work incorporates collagraph techniques and figurative imagery.


Biography:

Afsar Jan is visual artist from Chitral, currently enrolled in Fine Arts department at National College of Arts, Lahore.
Living in KPK, mountainous region inspires much of his work. He focuses on printmaking and painting to explore themes like memory, environment, and social issues. His work has been published in Artany Magazine, UK.
