Description

Artist Statement: My artistic practice revolves around examining the impact of rapid urbanization, a phenomenon I have closely witnessed. I explore the relationship between humans and their surroundings, particularly focusing on the disconnect that can arise. I aim to highlight the dehumanizing effect of mindless urban development and the increasing presence of robotic construction. These urban spaces, often devoid of human presence, suggest a sense of isolation or alienation that one can feel in such environments. Through my work, I seek to capture the oppressive nature of these spaces, where human presence is reduced to a mere afterthought.

Biography: Sabir Ali from Shikarpur, graduated with a degree in Fine Arts (Painting) from the National College of Arts in 2022. His works have featured in various exhibitions, including the PNCA group show, Alhamra Young Artists Exhibition, Tagheer Gallery, Numaish Gah, and O-Art Space.
